Masayuki Kurihara

Masayuki Kurihara has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries.

Starting in 1989, they worked in various departments at Marubeni Corporation, focusing on power and infrastructure projects. Masayuki held roles such as General Manager of the Planning Team and General Manager of the Abu Dhabi Trade House Project Team.

From 2007 to 2010, Kurihara served as the Chief Executive Officer and later as an Advisor to the Board at Abu Dhabi Trade House LLC.

In 2014, they joined Eastern Power and Electric Co. Ltd as the Deputy Managing Director, where they played a key role in the daily operations of the company.

In 2018, Kurihara served as a Board Member at Renewable Energy Test Center LLC.

In 2020, they joined afterFIT Co., Ltd as the Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Data Officer, and Teal Management Officer.

In the same year, they also became the Managing Director of Envision Digital, where they were responsible for the Japanese operation and Key Accounts.

In 2022, Kurihara worked as a Project Academic Specialist at the Department of Technology Management for Innovation at Tokyo University.

In 2023, they took on the role of Senior Vice President, Partnerships and Alliances and Japan representative at the Centre for Strategic Energy and Resources (CSER).

Also in 2023, Kurihara became the Corporate Development Director at OIST Innovation, where they played a vital role in fostering innovation and technology development in Okinawa.

Masayuki Kurihara earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Keio University in the years 1985 to 1989. Masayuki then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration, specializing in Public Private Partnerships for Infrastructure, from Henley Business School from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, in 2003 to 2004, they obtained a BA in Accounting from the University of Guam.
