Denise Sledge has extensive experience in communications within law enforcement, beginning with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a Criminal Justice Information Technician from 1991 to 1993, where involvement pertained to the Firearms Purchase Program. Denise then served as a Communications Officer for the City of Fort Walton Beach in 1994 before joining the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office later that same year. At Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Denise advanced through various roles, ultimately attaining the position of Communications Training Specialist, while also holding titles such as Communications Shift Supervisor/Alternate FAC and Communications Officer. Educational pursuits include studies at Northwest Florida State College and Tallahassee Community College.
