Ralph began his security career as the Security and Safety Manager at Montgomery Ward in 1979. In 1985 Ralph accepted a position as the Safety and Security Manager at Cleveland Pneumatic Company. In 1988 he purchased United Security Management and tripled the size of the company by 2008. In 2008 Ralph sold United Security Management Services and has worked as an owner and security consultant for S&E Enterprises.

Ralph holds a B.S. in Law Enforcement from Eastern Kentucky University and an M.P.A. in Public Affairs through IU-PU Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is an ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP). Ralph also co-authored Security Officer Training for CASAGA (California Association of Licensed Security Agencies) and is the author of three Security Officer Training Manuals.
