Laura Russell has extensive experience at the Ohio History Connection, serving as Manager of the Historical Markers Program since July 1979 and overseeing the administration of the program while guiding applicants through the marker process. Previously, Laura held positions in the marketing and outreach divisions, and worked as Managing Editor for TIMELINE magazine, managing its production and content development. Contributions to Ohio History included roles as Associate/Assistant Editor and Editorial Assistant, where budget management and collaboration with editors were key responsibilities. Laura began the journey in the history field as an intern at the Ohio Historical Society, where cataloging the Zane Grey collection was a notable project. Laura holds a degree from Capital University.
