Adam Sterry has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2015, they worked as a Sustainability Intern at Driscoll's, where they focused on environmental impact projects and conducted research and data analysis. From 2017 to 2017, they worked as an Elementary School Teacher and Naturalist/Guide at Marin Horizon School, teaching garden classes and acting as a lead guide on camping trips. In 2018, Adam co-owned and managed La Cotona, a restaurant in a remote coastal town in Ecuador, where they established a resilient revenue stream for local conservation efforts and managed key community relationships. In 2019, they worked as an Environmental Consultant as a self-employed individual. From 2012 to 2018, they served as a Lead Sea Kayaking Guide at Sea Trek Kayak and SUP Center. Currently, Adam works at Ohalo Genetics, where they started as a Business Associate in 2020 and was promoted to the position of Scientific Strategy Program Manager in January 2023.
Adam Sterry received their Bachelor's degree in Environmental Anthropology (Independently Designed Major) from Colorado College, where they attended from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Marin Academy from 2008 to 2012, with a focus on natural sciences. In terms of additional certifications, Adam obtained an Excel: Advanced Formulas and Functions certification from LinkedIn in April 2020, and a Wilderness First Responder certification from NOLS Wilderness Medicine in June 2010.
