Euan Dickson has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Euan is currently working as a Senior Flexibility Analyst at Ofgem, starting in November 2022. Prior to that, from September 2019 to January 2023, Euan worked at North Lanarkshire Council in two different roles. Euan was initially hired as a Gaelic Co-Ordinator, teaching Gaelic to adult learners and creating learning materials for the council's Gaelic Learning Course. Later, they served as a Community Learning and Development Officer, contributing to the council's community learning initiatives. Euan also worked as a Research Assistant at both the University of Glasgow and Heriot-Watt University. At the University of Glasgow, from October 2020 to January 2023, they collaborated with Glasgow City Council on a project focused on enhancing urban Gaelic language provision. At Heriot-Watt University, from September 2019 to July 2021, Euan conducted research on Gaelic literacy skills and biliteracy, developing research protocols and assessment materials. Prior to their academic roles, Euan gained experience in the television industry as a Production Assistant and Graphics Assistant at Nemeton TV. Euan facilitated production shoots, managed travel arrangements, and prepared graphics for sports programming on BBC Alba.
Euan Dickson has pursued a Master's degree in Applied Economics from Strathclyde Business School, which they attended from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2017, they studied Gaelic at The University of Edinburgh. During the same period, they also completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Celtic Studies from The University of Edinburgh.
