David Wasley has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. David is currently working as a Senior Risk Manager at Ofgem since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Team Leader - Due Diligence Hub at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office from April 2020 to May 2022.

In 2020, David also held a role as a Risk and Assurance Manager at Aurora Technology Group for a brief period from March to April.

From 2013 to 2019, they worked at Ingeus, where they held various positions such as Head of Compliance and Assurance, Head of Risk and Internal Controls, Global Risk & Assurance Manager, and Compliance and Audit Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for managing compliance, risk, health and safety, safeguarding, and internal controls. David played a key role in developing and implementing business-wide compliance strategies, providing strategic support to senior leadership, and managing multi-skilled teams.

Prior to their time at Ingeus, they worked at Ingeus UK as a Quality Assurance Manager from October 2011 to October 2013, where they monitored and evaluated service quality and conducted audits.

Before that, David worked at Reed in Partnership from 2004 to 2011 in roles such as Finance & Quality Control Manager and Finance Manager. During their time there, they implemented quality and finance controls, developed process documents, and trained staff on contractual requirements.

David also has experience working in credit control and finance management roles. David worked as a Credit Control Manager at Furniture@Work Ltd from September 2003 to March 2004, where they established a credit control department. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Accountant at Blackpool Victoria Hospitals NHS Trust from January 1997 to August 2003 and as an Accounts Assistant at FCI Technology from January 1991 to January 1997.

David Wasley attended St Georges High School from 1985 to 1991, although no degree or field of study is specified. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained an AAT NVQ Level II from the Association of Accounting Technicians in April 1993. Later on, in November 2010, they received a PRINCE2 certification from IXL GROUP. In December 2016, David obtained an Agile PM Practitioner Level certification from The Knowledge Academy. Lastly, in June 2018, they earned an IRM Certificate in International Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management.
