Henkel Smith has worked in the business development and partnerships field since 2004. In 2009, they were the Director of Business Development at Zingle. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Director of Business Development at Integrant, Inc. where they were responsible for new customer and partner acquisition and growth, resulting in $3.5M+ new business revenue and new strategic alliances with Microsoft, Sitecore and Telligent. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Communications Strategist at Nationwide Private Client. Currently, they are a Co-Founder and Business Development & Partnerships at Offset Alliance Co., where they are helping improve sustainability with measured and verified decreases in carbon emissions.

Henkel Smith holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from The University of Alabama and a Master's Degree in Information & Decision Systems from San Diego State University. Henkel also has two additional certifications: PEDDR | SDG Academy: Nature-based Solutions for Disaster and Climate Resilience from UN Environment Programme obtained in November 2021 and Climate Change: The Science and Global Impact from edX obtained in October 2019.
