Monica Cop is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in advisory roles and legal research. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor/Manager in the Business Advisory Directorate at the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Monica leads initiatives to promote compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Officer/Lawyer for the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, providing non-partisan legal analysis, and as a Litigation Lawyer with Samis+Company, representing clients in various Ontario courts. Monica has also contributed as a Research Assistant at York University - Osgoode Hall Law School and has gained practical experience in community legal services and humanitarian affairs. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa, and a Certificat in French language from Université Paris-Sorbonne.
