Brenna Morell is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across Canadian government institutions. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Communications at the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada since June 2023, Brenna previously held the position of Director of Digital Communications at the Privy Council Office. Prior roles include Director at Global Affairs Canada overseeing Trade Commissioner Service Planning and Programs, as well as Deputy Director of Trade Communications. Brenna has also managed web and social media initiatives for the Department of National Defence, served as a Senior Communication Advisor for Passport Canada, and held communication management roles in earlier positions including the ByWard Market Business Improvement Area and the National Gallery of Canada. Academically, Brenna holds a BA Honours in Public Relations from the University of Ottawa and a diploma in Public Relations from Algonquin College.
