Dilshad Begum, holding an LLB, CIPP/E, and CIPM, currently serves as the Information Security Manager at Ofcom since April 2022 and as a Data Protection Consultant at Omaira Consulting Group since December 2018. In these roles, Dilshad has focused on data management policies and compliance with data protection laws, including extensive work on GDPR readiness assessments and ongoing compliance support. Previous positions include Information Coordinator at the Office of Communications, where responsibilities included developing data protection policies and managing data incidents, and various solicitor roles where legal caseload management and client relations were paramount. Dilshad commenced legal training with a Pg Dip in Legal Practice from the College of Law, London, and has contributed to the legal sector through various roles, including as a volunteer and caseworker.
