Simon Howick has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Simon is currently the Managing Director at ODS, where they are responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of the business. Prior to this, they were a Board Member at LATCo Network, providing strategy advice and services to help the federation enable local authorities across the UK to develop commercial trading models. Simon also served as a Corporate Lead - HR & Organizational Development at Oxford City Council, where they were responsible for the design and delivery of HR and OD strategy. Simon'sachievements include obtaining Best Achieving Council and Investor in People Gold accreditations, negotiating a new pay deal, introducing a values and behaviors framework, and implementing various staff engagement initiatives. Simon began their career at Woking Borough Council, where they worked as an HR Manager and Payroll Manager.

Simon Howick attended Winston Churchill School from 1981 to 1985. Simon did not obtain a degree or pursue any specific field of study during this time. In 2012, Simon obtained a certification as a Fellow CIPD from the institution CIPD.
