Dennis Nkangi has a wide range of work experience in the technology field. Dennis began their career in 1999 as a Software Developer and Entrepreneur, starting their own software development company called Crime. Dennis then worked as a Software Developer at Kabel New Media, where they gained experience in back-end web development and collaborated with a team of developers, designers, and product managers. Dennis later worked as a Software Developer at General Wireless, specializing in developing client and server applications for text messaging features.

In 2007, Dennis worked as a Software Developer Consultant at Ants IT-Support, providing assistance to various companies with specific software development issues. Dennis utilized the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) during this time. Continuing their consultancy work, Dennis joined Anders Axi Konsult AB in 2009 as a Software Developer Consultant. Dennis was responsible for software development and maintenance of a time reporting software for Waxholmsbolaget.

Moving on to more managerial roles, Dennis became the Head of Engineering at Avida Finans AB in 2016. In this position, they managed and mentored development teams, collaborated with IT operations, analytics, product managers, and stakeholders from Sweden, Norway, and Finland. Dennis advocated for the implementation of agile and structured methods, contributing to the overall success of the company. Dennis also served as the Interim CTO, where they oversaw IT deliveries and established the technology vision and strategy.

In 2019, Dennis joined Tessin - Digital fastighetsfinansiering as the CTO. Dennis'sresponsibilities included developing an efficient tech team, aligning technology vision with the business strategy, improving development and IT processes, and driving automation and an agile mindset. Dennis also played a role in product management, cyber security, the IT budget, and tech recruitment.

Dennis's most recent role is as the Development Team Manager at Odevo, starting in 2022.

Dennis Nkangi obtained a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Computer Science from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, from the period of 2004 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the Blekinge Institute of Technology, between 1997 and 2000. In addition to their formal education, Dennis also earned a certification as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in May 2016.
