Lorne Lanning began their career in 1989 as a Technical Director at TRW. Lorne then joined Rhythm and Hues in the same year, where they held roles as Technical Director, Art Director, Creative Director Special Projects, and VFX Supervisor. In 1994, they co-founded Oddworld Inhabitants and served as President and Creative Director. In 2010, they joined Xmobb as Chief Creative Officer, and they also worked as Creative Director and EFX Supervisor at Rhythm And Hues Studios.

Lorne Lanning completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration, motion graphics, animation and visual effects from the California Institute of the Arts in 1989. Lorne also attended the School of Visual Arts.
