Kayhan Babaee began their work experience in 2017 as a Research Assistant at FlareNet Network, where they developed programs to optimize Black Carbon (BC) optical properties and improve instrument readings accuracy. In 2020, they joined Cymax Group Technologies as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer, implementing an ML-based pricing engine and designing a product similarity algorithm. Kayhan later became a Senior Machine Learning Engineer/Solution Architect, leading a team in developing a product-carrier damage estimation engine. In 2022, Babaee worked at Voiceflow as a Machine Learning Engineer, leading a team in integrating NLU training and inference pipelines into the main product. Currently, they are the ML Lead at ODAIA, where they have streamlined machine learning code management and deployment processes.

Kayhan Babaee completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Science at The University of British Columbia from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science from Sharif University of Technology, where they studied from 2012 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Kayhan has acquired several certifications. In October 2019, they received a certification in Deep Learning from Coursera. Kayhan further enhanced their knowledge and skills by obtaining certifications in various areas, including Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Azure Data Scientist Associate, Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, and Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, all issued by Microsoft between February 2021 and May 2021. Kayhan also obtained certifications in Natural Language Processing, Programming with Google Go, and DeepLearning.AI TensorFlow Developer offered by Coursera in 2021 and 2022.

Lastly, Kayhan achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2023.
