Kevin Edmonds serves as a Staff Engineer at Toshiba Memory America, Inc. since October 2016, focusing on the research and development of cloud-based software solutions for the proprietary Flashmatrix appliance. Responsibilities include the installation of Kubernetes on proprietary hardware, evaluating appliance scalability for machine learning applications, and developing performance test infrastructure. Kevin also holds a Staff Systems Engineer role at OCZ Storage Solutions and has been with WD, a Western Digital company, since March 2009 as a Staff Engineer in Product Design. Expertise includes signal integrity, protocol validation of PCIe-based NVMe SSDs, and systems integration with a strong emphasis on firmware validation and hardware/software development. Kevin earned a Master’s Degree in Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from UC Irvine.
