Eric Farley has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Eric began their career as a Merchandiser at Kmart in 2013 and worked there until 2016. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Forklift Operator at Freds Distribution Center. In 2017, they joined VALMIERA GLASS GROUP as a Maintenance Technician and stayed with the company until 2019. Eric then worked at Oconee Fall Line Technical College, starting as a Clerical Worker in 2019. Eric progressed to become a Help Desk Technician in 2020, where they successfully resolved customer issues and troubleshooted for Windows, MacOS, and Linux systems. In 2021, they took on the role of a Technical Support Specialist, specializing in Cyber Security by administering cyber training and implementing security measures such as Umbrella and Amp. Currently, Eric holds the position of Assistant Director of Information Technology at Oconee Fall Line Technical College, displaying their growth and expertise in the IT field.
Eric Farley has pursued their education in the field of cybersecurity and network administration. From 2016 to 2017, they attended Oconee Fall Line Technical College, where they obtained a Certificate in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Eric then continued their studies at Middle Georgia State University, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Network and System Administration/Administrator from 2019 to 2021. Eric further advanced their academic qualifications by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Cyber/Computer Forensics and Counterterrorism at Middle Georgia State University from 2021 to 2023.
In addition to their formal education, Eric has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Eric completed the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in October 2022 and also underwent the "CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601) Complete Course & Exam" offered by Udemy in July 2022. Prior to that, in June 2020, they achieved the TestOut Security Pro Certification from TestOut Corporation. Eric also holds a Mechatronics certification earned from Oconee Fall Line Technical College in August 2017.
