Derek Hummel has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Derek started their career at Colonial Bank FSB in 2008 as a Bank Teller and was later promoted to Supervisor/CSR. In 2015, they joined Cape Bank as a Sales and Service Specialist, followed by roles as a Loan Servicing Associate and Junior Underwriter. In 2016, they transitioned to OceanFirst Bank as a Credit Analyst and was recently promoted to the role of Credit Officer I.

Derek Hummel began their education at Cumberland County College, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from 2007 to 2009. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2012, Derek pursued higher education at Rowan University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
