Christina Khoo, PhD has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Christina is currently the Director of Emerging Science, Nutrition, and Regulatory Affairs at Ocean Spray Cranberries. In this role, they provide strategic global leadership and has developed a strong research platform on cranberry as a nutritional alternative in collaboration with academic institutions. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Global Health Science and Nutrition at Ocean Spray Cranberries, where they led a high-performing research team and focused on nutrition policy, regulatory research, and clinical research. Before joining Ocean Spray Cranberries, they worked as a Manager/Director of Research Science, Analytical, and Regulatory at the same company.
Christina has also held various positions in other organizations such as the National Academy of Sciences Food Forum, where they served as a member, the University of Rhode Island as an Adjunct Faculty member, the NATIONAL BERRY CROPS INITIATIVE as a Board Treasurer, the Juice Products Association as the Chair of the Board of Directors, and the IlSI Bioactives Committee, ILSI North America as the Chair. Additionally, they served as the Past Chair of the Industry Advisory Panel for the American Heart Association. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Scientist at Hill's Pet Nutrition and as a Postdoctoral Associate at Harvard School of Public Health.
Christina Khoo, PhD completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry at Susquehanna University from 1987 to 1991. Christina then pursued a PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry at the University of Florida from 1991 to 1995. Afterward, they continued their education with a PostDoc in Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 1997 to 2000.
