Brian Herlihy is a user-focused public librarian with extensive experience in reference services, cataloging, and collection management. Currently serving as a Librarian II at The Ocean County Library since May 2019, Brian possesses considerable knowledge of technology, programming, and special collections. Previously, Brian worked at the Danbury Public Library from October 2018 to April 2019, assisting patrons with library resources and maintaining circulation records. Additionally, Brian interned at the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University in early 2017, where records were processed and finding aids created for manuscripts. Brian holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College (2016-2018) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Modern & Modern European History from Carleton College (2012-2016).
