Michael Peterson

Michael Peterson's work experience begins in 2006 when they worked as an Executive Director for Aemetis, a leading second-generation cellulosic ethanol company in the United States. Michael focused on converting existing ethanol plants to produce renewable industrial chemicals. In 2011, Peterson became the President & CEO of Pacific Energy Development Corp, where they were involved in oil and gas exploration, development, and production in the United States. Michael controlled 11,000 net acres in the Colorado DJ Basin, Wattenberg field and operated 16 oil wells. In 2016, Peterson served as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee for Trxade Group Inc., a healthcare platform that enabled price transparency and increased profit margins for pharmaceutical buyers and sellers. From 2018 to 2021, they took a work sabbatical to serve as the Mission President for the Taiwan Taipei Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this role, they managed all aspects of the mission and mentored around 400 young missionaries. From 2021 to 2023, Peterson worked as a Director for Aesther Healthcare, leading the effort in a $105 million SPAC IPO and overseeing acquisition negotiations. Michael also held Director roles at Indonesia Energy Corporation, Trio Petroleum Inc, Trxade Health, and OCEAN BIOMEDICAL, where they contributed to various projects and initiatives. Finally, in 2022, Peterson founded Lafayette Energy Corp, where they currently serve as the CEO, Director, and Founder. The company focuses on developing a large-scale oil and gas resource using advanced seismic technologies.

Michael Peterson pursued their education at Brigham Young University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics & Computer Science from 1980 to 1985. Following this, they went on to further their studies at the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from 1987 to 1989.
