Katarina Nilsson

Chief Marketing Officer at Occtoo

Katarina Nilsson has a strong background in marketing and management roles. Katarina is currently serving as the Chief Marketing Officer at Occtoo since August 2020. Prior to this, they held the same position at &frankly from May 2018 to November 2020. In this role, they led and built a marketing team with a focus on demand generation and revenue growth.

Before &frankly, Katarina worked as a Marketing Manager at iStone from August 2015 to April 2018. During this time, they played a key role in the strategic and hands-on marketing responsibilities for the company's E-Commerce business area.

From April 2013 to July 2015, Katarina served as the Marketing & Communications Manager at Ateles, where they transformed the lead generation process into a successful demand generation program for the eCommerce consulting company.

Prior to Ateles, they held the position of Marketing & Business Development Manager at Wussap from August 2012 to February 2013.

Katarina also has experience in sales, having worked as a Key Account Manager at Dagens Næringsliv - The Norwegian Business Daily from October 2010 to August 2011. Katarina was responsible for B2B sales with a focus on the hotel market, including building client relations, driving sales, and developing campaigns.

Additionally, they have worked at Treningshuset, a fitness center in Oslo. Katarina started as a Marketing Coordinator from August 2008 to October 2010 while studying for their Bachelor's degree. Later, they became the Front Office Manager from August 2006 to August 2008, where they were responsible for customer satisfaction, managing the front office team, hiring and educating employees, budget management, and marketing material production.

Katarina Nilsson completed their education with a Diploma in eCommerce Business from Hyper Island in 2011-2012. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications from BI Norwegian Business School between 2007 and 2010. In 2009, they also participated in a semester on exchange program at Tilburg University, focusing on Marketing Communications.
