Richard Gourley has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Richard is currently working as a Flight Simulator Instructor at OBXtek since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Streamline Defense from February 2020 to April 2022 in the same role. From March 2017 to January 2020, Richard served as a Flight Simulator Instructor at The Rockhill Group. Richard gained experience as an MC2 Simulator Instructor at Cubic from April 2015 to March 2017. Before that, they worked as a Flight Simulator Instructor at Lockheed Martin from July 2012 to April 2015. Richard began their career at BGI-LLC as an Operational Analyst from May 2010 to October 2011. From June 2007 to April 2010, they worked as a Flight Instructor at TRARON EIGHT SIX. Prior to that, they served in various roles at TACRON ELEVEN from June 2004 to June 2007, including Asst Detachment OIC, Deployed CAOC representative, and UAS OIC. Richard's early career includes working as an F14 RIO at VF-154 from 1999 to 2000 and as a RIO at VF-11 from 1992 to 1995.

Richard Gourley attended Purdue University from 1986 to 1990, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Richard then attended Troy University from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Management.
