Dexter Moore Jr., Ed.L.D., currently serves as Chief of Staff and Executive Director of District Strategy for the Oakland Unified School District since May 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Doctoral Candidate at Harvard University Graduate School of Education from August 2019 to May 2022, as a PhD Fellow at The Workers Lab, and as Special Programs Manager for the Detroit School Partnership at the University of Michigan. Dexter also held various roles in education, including Social and Emotional Learning Project Manager at Boston Public Schools and Program Director at Head-Royce School. Dexter's education includes a Doctor of Education Leadership from Harvard, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership & Policy from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from California State University - East Bay.
