Mark Fairbrother is an experienced educator and media professional currently serving as a Spanish and Drama/Media Instructor at Oakland Schools since January 2022. Prior to this role, Fairbrother was an Instructor/Lecturer at the University of Colorado Boulder, where responsibilities included teaching media and communication courses, managing TAs, and designing digital learning experiences. Fairbrother also has a background in video production and science communication, notably creating a mini documentary featured at The Explorers Club Polar Film Festival. Throughout a versatile career encompassing communications, education, and digital content strategy across various organizations, Fairbrother has developed a strong skill set in multimedia storytelling, curriculum development, and bilingual instruction. Fairbrother holds a Master of Arts in Media and additional credentials in college teaching.
