Clara Modlin is an experienced educator currently serving as a teacher at Oakland Schools since September 2022. Prior to this role, Clara Modlin worked at Rocketship Public Schools, where responsibilities included teaching as a Self Contained 5th Grade Teacher and instructing three STEM classes for third grade students from December 2017 to June 2021. Clara Modlin also contributed to Teach For America as a Corps Member from June 2017 to June 2019, which included a position as a Dual Language Teacher at Escuela Popular, focusing on English Language Arts and English Language Development for third and fourth graders. Clara Modlin holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs, along with Spanish, from Washington University in St. Louis.
