Kathryn Kozhimala, MS, RN, CNOR, CCRN-K, serves as a Perioperative Quality Specialist at NYU Langone Health since September 2014, focusing on evaluating nursing practice in the Prep/OR/PACU units and leading quality improvement projects, including presenting research on an intraoperative skin risk assessment tool. Previously, Kathryn was a team leader in the Main Operating Room and a Registered Nurse at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, providing care in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. Early nursing experience was gained at Massachusetts General Hospital in the surgical and trauma intensive care unit. Kathryn holds a Master’s in Nurse Administration from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Registered Nursing from the University of Rhode Island.
