Sarah Colvin, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Sarah started their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as an Ammunition Technician and MCMAP Instructor from 2000 to 2004.

After their military service, Sarah transitioned into the healthcare field, working as a Patient Care Assistant at Glens Falls Hospital from 2010 to 2011, followed by a role as a Registered Nurse on the Medical/Surgical and Labor & Delivery units from 2011 to 2013. During this time, they provided patient care, education, and emotional support to patients and their families.

In 2013, Sarah joined Warren County Health Services as a Public Health Nurse - Care Manager for one year. Sarah then moved to Anthem, Inc, where they held two positions. First, they worked as a Case Management Nurse from 2013 to 2015, focusing on telephonic case management and utilization management for members with complex care needs. Later, they became a Clinical Training Specialist from 2015 to 2016, delivering training events and designing training programs.

Sarah continued their healthcare career at Adirondack Health Institute, starting in 2016. Sarah initially worked as a Provider Engagement Manager for a DSRIP project, focusing on a "Medical Village." Following that, they were promoted to the role of Manager, Health Home Program from 2017 to 2018, responsible for managing a care coordination department and ensuring high-quality coordinated care for Health Home members. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Operations Manager, overseeing the operations and staff of a newly created care coordination department.

Most recently, Sarah joined the New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation (NYSTEC) in 2020. Sarah initially held the role of Senior Consultant before transitioning to the position of Culture and Engagement, Project Manager/Analyst in October 2022.

Throughout their career, Sarah Colvin, Ed.D. has demonstrated their dedication to the healthcare industry, focusing on care coordination, training, and improving health outcomes.

Sarah Colvin, Ed.D. has an extensive education history. Sarah earned their Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Leadership for Organizations from the University of Dayton, completing their studies from 2019 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University, attending from 2015 to 2018.

Sarah also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, which they completed at Roberts Wesleyan University from 2011 to 2013. Before pursuing their bachelor's degree, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from SUNY Adirondack, attending from 2008 to 2010.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sarah has acquired various certifications. Sarah is a certified coach in "The 4 Stages of Psychological Safetyâ„¢" from LeaderFactor, which they obtained in December 2022. Sarah has a Change Management Certificate from Cornell University, earned in August 2021. Sarah also completed a Negotiation Strategies course at the Yale School of Management in November 2020 and obtained a People Analytics certification from Coursera Course Certificates in May 2020. Furthermore, Sarah holds a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard University, earned in September 2019.

Sarah's certifications also include a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the Aveta Business Institute, completed in April 2017. Sarah is a Certified Virtual Classroom Facilitator from InSync Training, achieved in November 2015. Lastly, Sarah is a Certified Case Manager (CCM) through the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), which they obtained in April 2015.
