Lars Olsen has an extensive work experience in the field of regulatory affairs. Lars is currently the Head of Regulatory Affairs at Nykode Therapeutics since September 2022. Prior to this, Lars worked as a Senior Director and RA Specialist at Nykode Therapeutics from July 2022 to September 2022. Lars also has experience as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist at KLIFO A/S from November 2017 to June 2022. Lars was the Owner, CEO, and consultant at LAO Regulatory Consultancy ApS from May 2014 to October 2017.
Before that, Lars held various positions at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, including Director of Regulatory Affairs - CV Development from September 2012 to April 2014, Director of Regulatory Affairs - Strategic Support from May 2010 to August 2012, and Director of Regulatory Affairs - Inlicence Evaluations from September 2005 to April 2010. Lars briefly worked as the Head of Section, Regulatory Affairs at Lundbeck in 2005 and as the Head of Section, PharmaBiotech, Licensing Division at the Danish Medicines Agency from January 2005 to March 2005.
Lars also gained experience at Novartis as a Group Lead in Regulatory CMC from August 2003 to December 2004. Lars managed a team of 8-14 direct reports and reviewed and approved various regulatory documentation. Prior to that, Lars worked at Lundbeck as the Head of Department, Regulatory Affairs - Mood Disorders from March 2000 to July 2003, where they oversaw all regulatory activities within the mood-disorder therapeutic area.
Lars started their career as a Scientific Officer/Section Head at the Medicines Division, Danish Board of Health from September 1988 to January 1996. Lars then worked as a Senior Registration Officer at Nycomed Pharma from February 1996 to September 1998.
With their diverse experience and expertise in regulatory affairs, Lars has developed a strong skill set in managing regulatory processes and ensuring compliance in the pharmaceutical industry.
Lars Olsen completed their education at the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy in Copenhagen from 1981 to 1986. Lars obtained a Master of Science in Pharmacy during this period. Later, from 1998 to 2000, Lars enrolled at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Regulatory Affairs.
