George Mathew's work experience includes co-founding Nyckel in 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Oracle from 2015 to 2020 as a Consulting Member of Technical Staff, where they led a team in developing the FaaS product and the cloud JVM diagnostics service. From 2006 to 2015, they worked at CareEvolution as a Principal Engineer, leading the development and scaling of a platform for sharing patient health data. George also hired and mentored engineers during their time there. Before that, they worked at Microsoft Corp from 2003 to 2006 as an SDE II, working on the MS Visual Studio DSL Tools team. George also worked at Guidant Inc as a Summer Intern in 2002.

George Mathew attended the University of Michigan from 2000 to 2003 and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Engineering. Before that, from 1999 to 2000, they studied Computer Engineering at McGill University.
