Emireth Herrera Valdes is an experienced art professional currently serving as Assistant to the Director at NYC Health + Hospitals since June 2023. Emireth holds multiple roles, including Guest Curator at Residency Unlimited Inc. and Writer for The Brooklyn Rail, both since November 2022 and June 2022 respectively. As an Independent Curator since 2014, notable curatorial projects include "Holding Paradise" featuring Gunnar Tufta's photography in 2021 and "Grilo / Fernández Muro: 1962-1984" in 2019. Previously, Emireth was Gallery Director at Amos Eno Gallery, Exhibit Manager for StraightForward Scoliosis Foundation, and Art Educator at Hispanic Society Museum & Library. Emireth also gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at New York University, where a focus was on the archive of Chilean painter Mireya Lafuente. Emireth is a graduate of New York University, earning a degree in Art History, Criticism, and Conservation.
