Christopher Buhrmeister is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as a Captain at NYC Ferry since January 2019. Previously, Christopher held the position of Deckhand at the same company. In 2019, Christopher worked as a Training Captain at Freedom Boat Club, where responsibilities included training new members and enhancing the skills of existing members in navigation, local waterways, hazards, and traffic maneuvering. Earlier experience includes roles as a Ski Instructor at Adaptive Sports Foundation from December 2012 to March 2017 and Lifeguard positions at Naurashaun Swim Club and Camp Bullowa in 2011. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation from the State University of New York Maritime College, earned between 2014 and 2018.
