Zachary DeRose has a diverse work experience spanning over several different industries and roles. Zachary started their career as a Blue Cross Blue Shield State of Connecticut Open Enrollment Specialist at Kelly Services in 2008. Zachary then served as a Youth Pastor at St. John's Episcopal Church in New Haven, CT from 2009 to 2011. From 2010 to 2013, Zachary worked as a Mail Room Team Lead at Higher One. In 2014, they interned at Clemson University as a Multimedia and Informatics Lab Intern. Zachary then joined Optum Global Solutions in 2015 as a TDP Summer Intern. In the same year, they also joined Swampfox Technologies as a Software Engineer - Level 1. Zachary progressed to become a Senior Software Engineer - Level 2 and later a Senior Software Lead Engineer Level 3 - Team Lead 1 at Swampfox Technologies. In 2019, Zachary joined Nx as an Angular Engineer (Level 3) before getting promoted to Senior Engineer (Level 4) in 2020. In 2021, they further progressed to become an Engineering Manager at Nx. As of 2023, they are currently working as an Architect at Nx.

Zachary DeRose began their education at Wheaton College from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theological Studies. In 2013, they pursued courses in Computer Science and Mathematics at Tri-County Technical College. Following that, they attended Clemson University from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
