Nicholas Newby

Co-Founder, Managing Partner at Nuview Analytics

Nicholas Newby has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at NuView Analytics, which they began in July 2018. Prior to this, they co-founded and was a Managing Member of NANJS, LLC, a real estate investment company focused on small to mid-sized markets, starting in June 2017. Before that, Nicholas served as the Director of Data Science at Closetbox from April 2017 to July 2018, where they led the development and implementation of data modeling systems and projects.

From September 2015 to April 2017, Nicholas worked at Western Union as a Lead Analyst for the Risk Modeling and Statistics team, addressing modeling requests using various datasets and techniques. Nicholas also has experience as a Lead Product Consultant at S&P Capital IQ, where they assisted clients with accessing and utilizing financial data from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Stockbroker at Scottrade from March 2010 to August 2012, where they built customer relationships and provided outstanding customer service. Nicholas also served as an Intern at Scottrade from June 2009 to March 2010, gaining experience in customer service and account management.

Nicholas's work experience began with their role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Colorado from November 2006 to May 2007, where they designed and presented a lunar crane project for the Aerospace Program.

Throughout their various roles, Nicholas has developed skills in SQL, database management, financial modeling, and data analysis. Nicholas has also received several awards for their customer focus and consulting work.

Nicholas Newby earned a Master's Degree in Economics with an Emphasis in Statistical Modelling from the University of Colorado Denver from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Quantitative Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Before attending the University of Colorado Boulder, Nicholas attended Otero College from 2003 to 2006. Nicholas also obtained a High School Diploma from La Junta High School in 2006. Aside from their academic qualifications, Nicholas holds a certification as a SAS Certified Base Programmer, which they obtained from SAS in May 2014.
