Tine Gade holds a PhD in Comparative Politics with a specialization in the Muslim World from Sciences Po. Tine currently serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Norsk Utenrikspolitisk Institutt (NUPI) since May 2016. Previously, Tine was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the European University Institute from September 2016 to August 2018, focusing on the comparative analysis of Sunniism in Iraq and Lebanon. Tine also worked as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Oslo from January 2014 to May 2016, teaching Middle Eastern Politics and Society while supervising over 30 bachelor's theses. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI from June 2006 to October 2008, contributing to the Terra project on terrorism and conducting research on jihadism in Lebanon.
