Sheila Higdon is an experienced social services professional currently serving as an Instructor in the Social Services Worker Program at Nunavut Arctic College since January 2022. Prior to this role, Sheila held the position of Deputy Director of Adoptions/Adoptions Specialist at the Government of Nunavut from July 2020 to January 2022, and previously served as an Instructor of the same program at Nunavut Arctic College from September 2018 to July 2020. Sheila's extensive background in social work includes significant experience in adoption services and child protection within the Government of Nunavut. Educational credentials include a Masters of Social Work from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba.
