Matthew Pohlman has worked for a number of companies since 2001. Matthew began their career as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology in 2001. Matthew then moved to Arete Associates in 2004, where they worked as a Senior Scientist and Staff Scientist. In 2012, they joined Explorys, an IBM Company, as the Director of Innovation and Data Scientist, Analytics Lead. In 2016, they moved to IBM as a Data Scientist and Team Lead, Applied Informatics Development. In 2022, they joined Merative as a Data Science Manager. Most recently, they started working at Nuna Inc. in 2023 as the Manager, Health Data Analytics Engineering.

Matthew Pohlman received their B.S. in Mathematics from Case Western Reserve University in 1995, after studying there from 1991 to 1995. Matthew then went on to The Ohio State University, where they obtained their PhD in Mathematics in 2001.
