Barry Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Barry is currently the Managing Director & Partner at Forteus and NUMEUS, both roles they have held since 2022. Prior to this, Barry was the Managing Director at Infrastructure Asset Manager from 2020 to 2021. Barry also worked at Argentière Capital AG as a Partner, Global Head of Marketing & Investor Relations from 2013 to 2019. Earlier in their career, Barry held roles at Man FRM, where they served as Director, Investment Committee Member and Vice President, and at Royal Holloway, University of London, where they worked as an Economics Lecturer. Before their professional career, Barry was an International Athlete in Track & Field, specializing in Decathlon.

Barry Thomas earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Birmingham, which took place from 1995 to 1998. Prior to their PhD, they also completed an MSc in Economics from the same university, spanning 1994 to 1995. Barry earlier graduated with a B.Soc.Sc in Mathematical Economics from the University of Birmingham between 1990 and 1993. Furthermore, they hold additional certifications, including the MIT Cryptocurrency Programme from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2022 and the Certified Crypto Finance Expert (CCFE) from CCFE in 2021.
