Ben Richardson

Chief Financial Officer at Numerica Credit Union

Ben Richardson has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Ben is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Numerica Credit Union since August 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Acting Chief Financial Officer from March 2021 to August 2022. Ben also served as the Senior Vice President of Finance at Numerica Credit Union from May 2019 to March 2021.

Before joining Numerica Credit Union, Ben worked at Banner Bank for eight years, starting in September 2011. During their time at Banner Bank, they held the role of Senior Vice President and Director of Capital Planning & Balance Sheet Management (FP&A). Ben led financial planning and analysis, capital planning, strategic financial analysis, and interest rate risk management at the bank. Ben was also responsible for project management and execution of the Dodd-Frank Act Stress Testing (DFAST) project.

Prior to their role at Banner Bank, Ben worked at Peoples Bancorp for seven years starting in July 2004. Ben held the position of Vice President of Balance Sheet & Profitability (FP&A). In this role, they led financial planning and analysis, corporate budgeting, strategic projects and analysis, asset liability management, and capital planning.

Ben started their career in the financial industry at Provident Bank in June 2000. Ben held the position of Financial Center Manager and Financial Analyst. Ben completed the Retail Management Training program and was responsible for sales and operations of a mid-sized bank branch with six employees.

Overall, Ben Richardson has demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, capital planning, risk management, and strategic financial analysis throughout their career in the banking industry.

Ben Richardson obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from The Ohio State University, which they attended from 1997 to 2000. Ben furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Ohio University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. In addition to their academic achievements, Ben also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Washington State Board of Accountancy, obtained in August 2022. It is worth noting that they also obtained an MBA, although the specific institution and timeframe for this accomplishment are unknown.
