Stuart McClure has an extensive work history in the field of cybersecurity. Stuart is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Qwiet, where they focus on preventing cyberattacks by identifying security flaws in custom and open source code using AI/ML technology. Prior to their role at Qwiet, they were the CEO at NumberOne AI.
In 2019, McClure held the position of President at BlackBerry Cylance, a company specializing in endpoint cybersecurity. Stuart co-founded Cylance Inc. in 2012, leading it as CEO/President, Chairman, and Founder until its acquisition by BlackBerry. Cylance revolutionized endpoint security by utilizing mathematics and machine learning to predict and prevent threats before they can execute.
Before their time at BlackBerry, McClure spent several years at McAfee, where they held various executive positions. Stuart served as the EVP, Worldwide CTO, and General Manager for the Management BU. Stuart was responsible for revenue, expense, and cost control, as well as product, sales, and marketing strategies. Before that, they worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager, specializing in security consulting projects for Fortune 1000 clients.
McClure's early experience includes working as a Senior Analyst and Columnist at InfoWorld, where they wrote product reviews, column articles on security topics, and started a popular public security column called "Security Watch".
