Don Hanson has a diverse work experience starting from 2000. Don started as a Mobile Client UI Team Lead at InfoMove, where they designed and led the development of in-vehicle navigation software. From 2002 to 2005, they worked at McAfee as a Senior Software Engineer and Dev Team Lead, introducing agile development methodologies and leading innovative enterprise security features. Don later became an Engineering Manager at McAfee, leading 35 team members and owning the management server of the enterprise security management product. Don then joined Intel Security as a Director of Engineering, where they led the creation of file reputation and secure messaging platforms and drove successful integrations and partner collaborations. Don returned to McAfee as a Senior Engineering Manager in 2009, leading a team of 65 and overseeing the management server of the industry-leading enterprise security management product. In 2014, Don became a Director of Engineering at Intel Security, securing major deals and driving partner integrations. Don then worked at McAfee as a Senior Director of Engineering, leading product and feature releases and managing a team of 60+. In 2021, they joined Corelight, Inc as a Senior Director Sensor Products. Currently, Don is a Founding Team Member and the Head of Engineering at NumberOne AI, an AI/ML platform for starting and launching new company ventures. Don is also a Board of Directors member at MakerForce, a grassroots emergency response organization.

Don Hanson obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington. In February 2021, they also obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
