Diego Melo has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Diego began their career as a Youth Worker at ZEST, where they focused on providing support and guidance to young people. Diego later worked as a Learning Mentor at Cranbrook Parish, collaborating with school and parish staff to identify and assist underperforming students.
Diego then joined the Methodist Church as a Strategy Development Officer, where they designed a play, youth, and family strategy to engage with deprived areas in the North East. This involved fundraising and multiagency collaboration across multiple local areas.
Diego furthered their career at Eden-Network as a Regional Engagement Manager, responsible for developing and implementing public relations strategies. Diego's role included managing strategic communications, organizing promotional events, and recruiting volunteers.
Diego's experience in education continued at Balliol Centre, where they served as the Curriculum and Operations Manager. Diego led the development of interventions for at-risk children and young people, raised significant funding for program delivery, and engaged in multiagency work with schools and social services.
