Iona Turner has worked in various roles since 2015. Iona began their career as an English Language Assistant at the British Council in 2015. In 2017, they took on a role as a Freelance Digital Journalist at the Herald and Times Group. Iona then moved on to become a Shopping Columnist at the Glasgow Times in 2018. In 2019, they worked as a Public Relations Executive at Heidi Klein. In 2020, they held two positions, one as an Account Executive at Grove Communication and another as a Daycare Assistant at Buddies Doggy Daycare. Most recently, they have been working as a Communications and Social Executive at Percy & Reed since 2021 and is currently a Brand Manager at NUDEA since 2022.

Iona Turner attended Heriot-Watt University from 2017-2018, where they earned a Master's degree in International Fashion Marketing. Prior to that, they attended the University of Strathclyde from 2012-2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Creative Writing and French.
