Emily Pesta, CPA, currently serves as the Finance Transformation Manager and Manager of Financial Accounting at Nucor Corporation since June 2017, where responsibilities include leading monthly financial closings, conducting financial analyses, and researching GAAP and SEC guidance. Previously, Emily held the position of Director of Financial Reporting & SOX at Belk, Inc. from October 2009 to April 2017, overseeing the preparation of financial statements and ensuring SOX compliance. Earlier career experiences include roles as Financial Reporting & SOX Manager and Senior Audit Associate at KPMG, LLP. Emily holds a Master of Accountancy from the College of Charleston and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Carolina.
