Mat Pellerin has had a varied work experience. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer for Statlife, where they designed and developed a web application prototype and a software for analyzing mammography. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Javascript Consultant at Valtech. During this time, they worked as a Java & Javascript Software Engineer at NEO-SOFT Services. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Frontend Developer at Burrows, followed by a Senior Frontend Engineer and Lead Software Engineer role at Onna. Most recently, Mat Pellerin took a personal sabbatical in 2022, and is currently a Frontend Engineer at Nuclia.

Mat Pellerin's education history includes a DUT in Génie biologique option analyses biologique et biochimique from the Institut Universitaire Technologique d'Angers (2003-2005), a Licence in Sciences de la vie et de la santé from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III (2005-2006), a Master professionnel in Bioinformatique from Aix-Marseille University (2006-2008), and an ETGL in Software engineering from CFA - AFTI (2009-2011). In 2011, they also attended Claude Aubry for Agile methodology - Scrum.
