James McNamara serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Nuclease Probe Technologies, Inc. since December 2018. Prior to this role, James held various academic positions at the University of Iowa, including Adjunct Associate Professor at the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine from November 2019 to June 2022, and Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine from July 2014 to October 2019. Additionally, James was an Assistant Professor from June 2009 to June 2014 and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Duke University from January 2004 to February 2007, focusing on developing RNA aptamer-based therapeutic approaches for cancer. James obtained a PhD in Neurobiology from Duke University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
