Neil McDonald, PhD MTOPRA has extensive experience in regulatory affairs and molecular imaging. From 2019 to present, they have worked as Director of Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Affairs Manager at NuCana plc. From 2014 to 2019, they were Principal Biologist at Edinburgh Molecular Imaging Ltd, where they were responsible for regulatory input into the clinical development strategy and regulatory project management for an in-licensed Phase II stage oncology imaging product and early-stage oncology therapeutic product. Additionally, they were the operational lead on an EMA scientific advice procedure. From 2009 to 2014, they were a Post-Doctoral Scientist at The University of Edinburgh, where they were a team leader and project manager and developed 3 imaging agents to first-in-man studies. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Post-Doctoral Scientist at the University of Calgary.
Neil McDonald, PhD MTOPRA obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Fluorescent Imaging/ Cell Biology from the University of Dundee in 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacology from The University of Edinburgh in 2002. In 2017, they also obtained a certification in Basics of Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs from TOPRA.
