Stephen Buchanan is a skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in product development and research in robotics and manufacturing. Currently serving as a Product Development Engineer and interim Manufacturing Manager at nth Solutions, LLC since January 2022, Stephen has previously held roles at the University of Delaware, where responsibilities included managing the Human Robotics Laboratory and conducting advanced research on wearable robotics. With a robust background that includes internships at Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney World, Stephen demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure. Stephen holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware, complemented by minors in Integrated Design and Electrical and Computer Engineering. Contributions to academic research have been noteworthy, including the development of friction compensation models and the design of exosuits for rehabilitation.
