Nikhil Sonawane is a Machine Learning Engineer who started working at nRoad in 2023, and was previously an Engineer - Digitalization at Aker Solutions from 2021 to 2023. Nikhil also has experience as a CAE Intern at IndusTill FarmTech Pvt. Ltd. in 2019, and as a Subject Matter Expert at EduFeat Private Limited from August to November 2018.

Nikhil Sonawane has pursued a Higher Secondary Education degree from KES'S PRATAP COLLEGE, AMALNER in 2014. Later, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2018. In 2019, Nikhil enrolled in COEP Technological University to pursue their Master of Technology degree in Design Engineering. Nikhil completed the course in 2021. Then in 2022, they joined the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore to pursue Executive PG Diploma in Al and ML with a specialization in Data Science and Machine Learning. Along with their formal education, they have also acquired several online certifications in different fields like Machine Learning, Python, SQL, MATLAB, and more.
