Laurie Smith Curtin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of medical education and policy. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at the National Resident Matching Program® (NRMP®) since 2005, Laurie has significantly contributed to strategic communications initiatives and collaborated closely with the President/CEO. Previously, as the Chief Policy and Research Officer and Director of Match Policy for nearly 18 years combined, Laurie engaged in extensive policy development, research, and dispute resolution, representing NRMP in arbitration proceedings. Prior to joining NRMP, Laurie worked as a Research Fellow at Donna D. Klagholz Ph.D. and Associations, LLC, focusing on program evaluation for service agencies related to child abuse and mental health. Laurie holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University.
